Designed for Clergy
Jan frequently works with clergy in retreats, conferences, and workshops, often collaborating with her husband, the singer/songwriter Garrison Doles. Intertwining their gifts of art, words, music, and storytelling, they offer distinctive events that draw on the treasures and challenges of the creative life to deepen and enliven your life in ministry.
Available to explore a wide variety of themes, Jan and Garrison are particularly engaged in working with folks to find creative, artful approaches to ministry in the 21st century. In a time when radical change, conflicts, distractions, unpredictability, and other challenges to the life of the church can seem overwhelming, they see rich possibilities for engaging faith communities in a new telling of our ancient Christian story that still bears the capacity to transform the world.
Jan and Garrison's events include hands-on creative experiences as entryways to contemplation and conversation. Inviting and accessible, these experiences provide simple tools that will offer new perspectives on your own life and ministry and can be used in the communities you serve. No previous as an artist or writer is required! All you need is a willingness to explore and an openness to finding surprising gifts along the way.
